A family-style guild on the Saryrn server |
 |
Welcome to our site. Dragonchow is an Everquest guild on the Saryrn server. Dragonchow is a family style guild, with
no DKP system, and no required raid attendance. We strive to provide a place for friendly, respectful, and helpful players of all
levels and playing experience to come together and enhance the overall enjoyment of the game. If you are a mature player, who plays
well with others, and likes to group with guildies, and lend a hand when the time comes, along with some light raiding on the side,
then we may be the Guild for you. We are not huge, and we won't be placing Uber Lewt in your hands. We place our priority on having
fun, this is our recreation, and not a job. We have been around for 5 years now, with no change in leadership, and have reputation
for fairplay and helpfulness that we value and protect. Any negative behavior is taken seriously and investigated. Enjoy the site
and links, and be sure to visit our chatboard! |

Spring has sprung and an update is way past due.
- Asylum of Anguish/Citadel of Anguish is being cleared (except for Overlord Mata Muram) on a weekly basis. Wednesday nights are typically when we hit raid Anguish with a mop up session on Saturday if needed. As of the patch on April 17, no more signet farming is required to zone into Anguish and the level requirement has been reduced to level 68.
- Now that Anguish is on "farm" status, many of our members have attained their 2.0 epics. Congratulations to all who have put forth the effort and thanks to those who have helped along the way.
- Dragons of Norrath targets still include Rikkukkin the Defender and Yar'Lir with the occasional trip to whoop on Ju`rek the Corrupted.
- Dragonchow has also started the Blood Raids and are doing Matriarch Shyra and Council of the Nine on a regular basis.
Raid nights are currently scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening starting at 9PM ET/6PM PT. If you have a target in mind, post it in the Raids section (and strategy too if you have it) so our raid leaders can plan and the officers can get the MoTD updated.
Time for an update of the Dragonchow on the leaderboard of the top 100 in their class on Saryrn (according to EQPlayers.com):
- Cleric (Mana/HP): Dyzz, Kramthor
- Druid (Mana/HP): Tokkyl, Kattiana
- Enchanters (Mana/HP): Galadriela, Ozno
- Magicians (Mana/HP): Nako, Bizbazowie, Tweelis
- Necromancer (Mana/HP): Dethrainn, Zyzykstan

We also have more than one Master Artisan tradeskiller.
Happy Veterans Day and a hearty THANK YOU for protecting our freedoms from your friends at Dragonchow
The new expansion goes live on Tuesday and the push for level 80 begins. Did you know that the new expansion includes the core game and ALL OF THE PREVIOUS EXPANSIONS? For our friends looking to break back into Norrath, now is the perfect time to get caught up (in both expansions, gear and levels)!
Last, but not least, apologies to our friends in Immortal Trust. It turns out that there was a misunderstanding surrounding their offer to join them on Anguish raids. We appreciate your generosity in inviting us to tag along and we had no intentions on taking advantage of that generosity. We look forward to collaborating with you on future endeavors.
Happy Halloween!
Lots of stuff to update. Take your bio break, get a refill on your favorite beverage and prepare to get caught up in
Dragonchow news.
- Raid nights have been rescheduled for Wednesday evening and Saturday evening. Gruum and Zyzykstan have been leading our raids and the targets (yes, that's a plural) depend on the turnout. Typical targets include Matriarch Shyra, Rikkukkin the Defender, Yar'Lir and the occasional epic target. If you have a target in mind, post it in the Raids section (and strategy too if you have it) so our raid leaders can plan and the officers can get the MoTD updated.
- Speaking of epics, we have a handful of members that are now weilding their epic 2.0 reward. Many others have completed (or are close to completing) their 1.5 epics. Congratulations to them for the great accomplishment.
- Which leads me to my next topic. ASYLUM OF ANGUISH Dragonchow has started to break into this "end-game" zone of a few expansions ago. Aug runs can be completed by a good group or a small raid, but we need more people to finish their Signet quest so we can join the other members that are fully flagged so we can begin raiding some of the bosses there.
- Many have completed Teir 3 of the Dragons of Norrath progression (and quite a few have completed Teir 4) and are actively helping others get to that point. If you need help with any of the progression quests, please feel free to ask in guild chat or post on the boards. I believe that most have chosen the progression from the Good but I think the Evil path is identical after Teir 2.
From the News outside of Norrath department, one of our very own has become a published author. That's right!!! Eldeberon (a.k.a. Michael Sullivan) has penned The Crown Conspiracy and has gone through the torture of finding a publisher that would support his book. Keep your eyes open the next time you're in a bookstore (either brick and mortar or the online variety). Congratulations Michael!
I'm sure there is a lot of stuff that I'm not reporting on, but that should at least give you a good idea of what we're up to these days.
Epic 1.5 mania continues! Congrats to Aisrup on Innoruk's Voice, Galadriela on her Oculus of Persuasion and Dardamer on his Raging Taelosian Alloy Axe.
Depths of Darkhollow progression continues as the Prophecy of Ro exploration has begun.
Most picnic plans have been finalized, but a few others remain. Have ideas on activities for after the picnic? Visit the Gathering section of the board and voice your opinion.
I've been slacking on the updates, but that doesn't mean there has been a lack of news to report. Dragonchow has been busy the last 6+ months!
Depths of Darkhollow has brought many of us upgraded gear and has also provided us with some new challenges as we work through the spell arcs and other quests. It is also a great place to grind AAs and build teamwork with a group of friends.
We have also conquered a few more epic 1.5's for some folks including a few "first times" : Wizard (one of the most difficult to attain), Cleric, Rogue and Enchanter. In addition, we've completed a few encounters to bring others closer to completion, including The Maestro in Plane of Hate for the Paladin pre-quest. There's a planned attempt at Ranger, Beastlord and Berzerker targets for next weekend (CHECK OUT THE BOARDS FOR MORE DETAILS). Our raid force may not be big, but we can pack one helluva punch! Be sure to thank your raid leaders, it can be a tough job trying to keep the chaos under control at times.
The prophecy below about Emoush has become true. It seems that Dragonchow has mastered the encounter and can now perform Emoush runs as often as needed. If you haven't completed Emoush yet, post it on the boards and/or talk with Coramoor.
While we may be a family-style guild, it should still be noted that the following players are on the leaderboard of the top 100 in their class on Saryrn (according to EQPlayers.com):
- Beastlord (HP/Mana): Dosile, Frogeatter
- Berzerker (HP/End): Dardamer, Ogglig
- Druid (Mana/HP): Tokkyl, Kattiana
- Monk (HP/End): Cebekis, Swifthand
- Necromancer (Mana/HP): Zyzykstan
- Paladin (HP/Mana): Kerukath
- Ranger (HP/Mana): Nisku, Ehlora
- Shadowknight (HP/Mana): Gruum, Kkort, Slacks
- Shaman (Mana/HP): Kelinka
We also have a few tradeskillers in the top 100 also. Dedicated, determined or insane? ...you decide.
